Nordlys reviews Tromsø concert

"In Mendelssohn's only violin concerto, written just three years before he died at 38 years old in 1847, I think the orchestra was too powerful in the beginning. They completely choked the soloist’s introduction to her phenomenal performance on the violin. But it settled quickly, and the interaction between soloist and orchestra was fantastic and it was a great musical experience.

The music in this violin concerto is full of nuances, deliciously violent, an andante that is very sensitive in some slowness, and an end playful and cheerful. All this let the fantastic Eldbjørg Hemsing give us an amazing experience together with the orchestra. We received, once again, evidence that she is a violinist of international class."
